CBO Releases Updated Score for the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act
Today, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released an updated cost estimate for the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1). This cost estimate incorporates the amendments made to H.R. 1 in the hours before the House passed the legislation by a vote of 215-214-1. Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) issued a statement from CEO Susan A. Cantrell, MHL, RPh, CAE, following passage of the budget reconciliation bill that includes large-scale changes to Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Grad PLUS loans, and other programs.
Under the budget resolution adopted on April 10, 2025, the House Energy & Commerce Committee (E&C) is required to submit changes in laws under its jurisdiction to reduce the deficit by at least $880 billion over the fiscal years (FY) 2025-2034.
