Jeremy’s Patient Story: Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)
Jeremy, a student at Georgia Tech and ambassador for the National Eczema Association, shares his health journey with eczema. Atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes red, itchy, and inflamed skin. Jeremy had to go to different providers and try different remedies to find a treatment that worked for him. “I think having a dermatologist or doctor provider who understands that one medication isn’t the solution for every patient and they need to kind of think outside the box and take every patient as a unique subject.”
This recording was produced as part of a continuing pharmacy education activity entitled, Innovation on Immune-Mediated Skin Conditions: Focus on Atopic Dermatitis, funded by an independent medical education grant by Pfizer.
