AMCP Awards & Recognition
AMCP (Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy) confers awards to recognize members and non-members who have made significant contributions to the profession of managed care pharmacy and to AMCP. Award recipients are publicly recognized at the spring meeting.
Award nominations are now closed for 2024. Nominations will open again in the fall of 2025.

Advocate of the Year Award — This award recognizes an individual responsible for significant advocacy promoting AMCP's legislative and regulatory priorities. (Formerly the Grassroots Advocacy Award.)
Diplomat of the Year Award — This award recognizes an individual responsible for significant activity in assisting a School of Pharmacy with their efforts to increase knowledge about managed care and visibility into the managed care field.
Distinguished Service Award — This award recognizes an AMCP member who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to AMCP over at least a five-year period.
Experiential Education Preceptor Award — This award recognizes an AMCP member making a significant contribution to managed care pharmacy by being a preceptor to student pharmacists for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) and/or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) focused in managed care pharmacy.
Fellow (FAMCP) Program — The Fellows program was established to acknowledge sustained excellence in the pharmacy profession, grant recognition for exceptional contributions, long-term commitment, and active participation in AMCP.
Individual Contribution Award — This award recognizes an AMCP member making a significant contribution to AMCP by any means other than service as an AMCP Committee member over the past year.
JMCP Award for Excellence — This award recognizes an article published in JMCP in each calendar year that represents the best scholarly work in managed care pharmacy.
Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Director/Residency Preceptor Award — This award recognizes an AMCP member making a significant contribution to managed care pharmacy by being managed care residency program director or preceptor.
New Practitioner Award — This award recognizes an AMCP member making a significant contribution to managed care pharmacy within five years of graduation from first professional degree in pharmacy, medicine, or nursing.
Spirit of Volunteerism Award — This award recognizes a current AMCP Committee Member who has demonstrated exemplary and outstanding service to AMCP over the past year; and, has provided volunteer activities that resulted in successful and/or high quality AMCP programs, projects, or services for its members.
