At last fall’s Nexus 2021, AMCP leaders and the general session speaker, Sekou Andrews, sought to inspire you in your work. We’ll extend that mission at AMCP 2022. During the meeting’s general session, we’ll hear from Suneel Gupta, Harvard University visiting scholar and author of “Backable.” Gupta is the founding CEO of RISE, which partnered with Michelle Obama to deliver low-cost health care services to people in need. RISE was named “App of the Year” by Apple and was subsequently acquired by One Medical.
We’re also pleased to welcome back an audience favorite Doug Long, vice president of industry relations at IQVIA. Long will discuss health care and marketplace trends, providing up-to-the-minute analysis of issues likely to impact managed care professionals. In addition, he will offer predictions about what lies ahead in the coming months as the health care industry continues to manage the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our third keynote explores the 2022 Specialty Pharmaceutical Pipeline and will be presented by IPD Analytics’ Jeffrey Casbert, MS, RPh, and Leslie Fish, RPh, PharmD. This pipeline session will focus on new and emerging specialty medications, their projected time to market, any potential FDA or legal delays, their potential place in therapy, and implications for managed care pharmacy.
