AMCP CEO Susan A. Cantrell, RPh, CAE Is Appointed to Pharmacy Quality Alliance Board of Directors
Alexandria, Va., Nov. 17, 2017 — Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) CEO Susan A. Cantrell, RPh, CAE has been appointed to the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) 2018-2019 Board of Directors.
AMCP was a founding member of PQA in 2006, and has remained an active member organization. PQA promotes appropriate medication use and develops strategies for measuring and reporting performance information related to medications. Its more than 200 members include pharmacy providers, pharmacy benefit managers, health plans, academia, consumer advocates, community pharmacies, health technology vendors, life sciences organizations, and other stakeholders.
Cantrell has served as AMCP’s chief executive since February 2016. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Americas at the Drug Information Association (DIA); and as Vice President of Resources Development at the American Society of Health‐System Pharmacists (ASHP).
She graduated from the University of Mississippi College of Pharmacy and completed an ASHP-accredited hospital pharmacy residency program at University of Mississippi Medical Center. Cantrell also received her Certificate in Public Health from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Public Health.
