AMCP recently hosted its third iteration of the IRA workshop series, bringing together health plans, pharmaceutical manufacturers, PBMs, research institutes, and patient advocacy organizations.
AMCP’s Listen Up: How AMCP’s Erica Klinger is Reintroducing Managed Care to MCPs
When Erica Klinger, AMCP’s Vice President of Marketing, joined the association in 2023, she met individuals who were unaware they were called “managed care pharmacists.”
“That kind of sparked this campaign on ‘Well, we need to do something to get the word out!’” Klinger realized. “We need to share the variety of settings that managed care pharmacists work in.”
Now, as she tells AMCP’s Listen Up host Fred Goldstein at AMCP’s Annual Meeting in New Orleans, she is putting the community of managed care professionals in the spotlight. Through her team’s “We Are MCP” campaign, AMCP members are showcasing their appreciation for the greater managed care pharmacy profession and sharing what makes each of them unique. “
Sharing more about what managed care pharmacists do will also share more awareness of what AMCP does as the association that represents these professionals,” she said.
The campaign has made major milestones since the annual meeting in April. AMCP has garnered over 5 million social impressions, 40,000 social engagements, 56,000 video views cross-platforms and over 2,000 visits to the We Are MCP Landing Page.
