AMCP Foundation Executive Director Paula Eichenbrenner Named ‘Young & Aspiring’ Association Executive by Association TRENDS Magazine

Alexandria, Va., February 23, 2017 — Association TRENDS magazine today recognized Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Foundation Executive Director Paula J. Eichenbrenner, CAE, as a “Young & Aspiring” Association Executive. Eichenbrenner was one of five individuals selected for this prestigious national award, presented since 1998 to the brightest rising stars of the association community.  
 
She was nominated by AMCP CEO Susan A. Cantrell, RPh, CAE, and honored at this year’s  Salute to Association Excellence in Washington, D.C. The AMCP Foundation is the Academy’s philanthropic arm that focuses on medication-related research and education.  
 
“Since joining AMCP in 2015, Paula significantly heightened the Foundation’s visibility through effective social media, expanded volunteer opportunities and patient-centered outreach,” says Cantrell. “Our Foundation is a source of pride, with innovative fundraising initiatives including challenge grants and wellness activities at AMCP national meetings.”  
 
Prior to her position with the AMCP Foundation, Eichenbrenner served as vice president for advancement at the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) and as director of the ASN Foundation. She also served as marketing and membership services director at the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing.  
 
Eichenbrenner sits on the Ethics Committee for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and is also an active member of the Association Foundation Group (AFG) and the Association of Professional Fundraisers (AFP). She earned her bachelor of arts cum laude in Russian and Spanish from Tulane University.
