New IBS-C Guidelines: A Multi-Symptom Approach for HCPs and Payers

The goal of this webinar is to better understand how health care providers (HCPs) apply current evidence-based IBS treatment guideline recommendations while simultaneously navigating managed care criteria that influences the care of the patients with IBS-C. The target audience includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists who care for patients living with IBS-C. In addition, the target audience includes medical directors, pharmacy directors, chief pharmacy officers, and other stakeholders with healthcare access decision making responsibilities.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1) Provide a brief overview of the pathophysiology and diagnosis of IBS
2) Describe the patient burden of IBS-C symptoms and its impact on healthcare utilization and costs (e.g., workplace productivity, absenteeism, etc.)
3) Outline the most recent guideline recommendations for treatment of global symptoms of IBS-C from the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG)
4) Describe the application of evidence-based guideline recommendations and managed care tools in treatment of a patient with IBS-C.
