President Trump Signs H.R. 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Into Law
The bill increases defense and border security funding while cutting Medicaid, SNAP, and ACA programs. AMCP expressed concern that these provisions could result in coverage losses for up to 17 million Americans. A recording of AMCP’s July 14 webinar on the law’s implications is available to members.

Register Now for the Inaugural AMCP Pharmacy Policy Summit
AMCP will host its first-ever Pharmacy Policy Summit on October 27 in National Harbor, MD. The event will feature keynote speaker Robert Costa and sessions on PBM reform, 340B, and drug patenting. Attendees can bundle registration with Nexus 2025 for added savings.

CMS Releases Proposed 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule
CMS released its proposed 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule on July 14, including payment increases for physicians and expanded coverage for digital mental health tools. AMCP is preparing comments ahead of the September 12 deadline.

AMCP Submits Comments on HHS Deregulatory RFI
AMCP responded to HHS’s request for input on deregulatory opportunities, urging the removal of the “14-day rule” that limits access to precision medicine diagnostics.

Supreme Court Upholds USPSTF’s Authority
In Kennedy v. Braidwood Management, Inc., the Supreme Court ruled that USPSTF panelists do not require Senate confirmation, preserving their role in recommending preventive service coverage under the ACA.

AMCP in the News: Biosimilars and Women’s Health
AMCP supported the Biosimilar Red Tape Elimination Act (S. 1954) and joined other organizations in urging Congress to advance the bill. CEO Susan Cantrell also spoke to Managed Healthcare Executive about the role of FDA approval in coverage decisions for women’s health treatments.
