AMCP prioritizes advocacy throughout the year—not only during consideration of key bills. Our government relations and congressional affairs team is constantly engaging and educating policymakers to address the complex issues impacting patients and policymakers today. Policy and legislative events provide a seamless stage for those conversations between advocates and policymakers to take place.
AMCP Legislative Days is a yearly event where AMCP’s Government and Advocacy team, along with AMCP Member Pharmacy Advocacy Leaders, engage with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to discuss enhancing patient access to innovative treatments and important pharmacy legislation.
Pharmacy Advocacy Leaders are a dynamic network of AMCP members who foster strong connections with federal legislators. They actively inspire fellow state members to engage in AMCP's grassroots advocacy initiatives.
During Legislative Days, AMCP’s Government and Advocacy team and Pharmacy Advocacy Leaders will meet with various lawmakers to discuss AMCP’s priorities issues.
The AMCP Pharmacy Policy Summit is an annual meeting held in the Washington, D.C. area that fosters collaboration and dialogue among AMCP members, patient advocacy groups, think tanks, and health care associations. By transcending the traditional boundaries of managed care pharmacy, the AMCP Pharmacy Policy Summit aims to advance policy discussions to drive meaningful change in the health care system.
