The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomic Research (https://pharmacy.uic.edu/research/pharmacoepidemiology-pharmacoeconomic/training/fellowships) offers two to four fellowships with emphases in outcomes research, pharmacoepidemiology, and/or medication adherence. Fellows typically spend one year at UIC and one year off site with the corporate sponsor. Fellows are expected to take coursework, which may be applied towards a MS or PhD degree. Knowledge and experience is gained evaluating economic, humanistic, and clinical outcomes of drug therapy. Presentation and publication of research in peer-reviewed venues is expected. The fellowships are designed to facilitate careers in academia, consulting, and pharmaceutical industry.
