Bio: Susan Cantrell joined AMCP as Chief Executive Officer in 2016. In this role, she leads the organization in fulfilling its mission to improve patient health by ensuring access to high-quality, cost-effective medications and other therapies. She works to advance AMCP’s policies to address rising health care costs and facilitates work to shift toward paying for value in health care. In 2019, she oversaw the award-winning AMCP rebranding effort.

Bio: Tom joined AMCP in 2020 after working for three years as a government affairs assistant at Seaboard Corporation and interning in the Office of Congressman John Sarbanes. Tom received his B.A. in government and politics from the University of Maryland. Tom grew up in Boston and is an avid Celtics fan.

A native of New Jersey, Jim will vehemently argue with anyone who dares to root against his beloved Chelsea FC.

Bio: As a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Jennifer joined AMCP with 20 years of clinical pharmacy and formulary management experience in managed care and federal sectors. Early on, she discovered the unique possibilities of managed care pharmacy as a founding member of an AMCP student chapter and a managed care pharmacy resident. Jennifer discovered a passion for pharmacy education while serving as Director of the Army Clinical Pharmacy Course.

Bio: Sanchita was born in Michigan and grew up in the suburbs of Detroit and Seattle before earning her Bachelor of Science, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Washington. During pharmacy school, she was heavily involved with her AMCP chapter, serving as secretary on the board for a year, participating in three P&T competitions, and attending national and NW AMCP meetings. Sanchita’s experience with managed care pharmacy formed a passion for improving patient access to care, and she is excited to work towards her professional goals as the Executive Fellow for AMCP this year.

Bio: Thomas joined AMCP in 2021 after three years as an accountant at the Association of American Universities (AAU) and Kastle Systems. Thomas graduated from Virginia Tech in 2017 with a dual degree in Economics and Biochemistry. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, traveling internationally, and playing fetch with his dog.

Bio: Julian has over 25 years of professional experience ranging from running an IT service desk for an internet company to planning conferences and meetings for large HR associations. Her expertise includes building commitment within a team, project management, negotiating contracts, cost management, diagnostic and analytical skills, vendor management, technology logistics, conference and meeting planning, and programming strategy. Her superpowers are organizational awareness, including the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, interpersonal and communication skills, and problem-solving.

Bio: Brittany received her PharmD, MBA from Shenandoah University where she discovered her passion for managed care pharmacy. Prior to joining AMCP in 2017, she completed a managed care residency with Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States. Brittany used to be a rocket propellant chemist but traded in her hazard gear for a mortar and pestle to become a pharmacist! Now she loves her role on the education team working with faculty on their course descriptions and PowerPoint slide decks.

Bio: As the Senior Manager for the Executive Office, Evonne provides executive-level support for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). She works closely with all AMCP teams, members, and external partners to support the mission, business objectives, and strategic priorities of the organization in management of the executive office. Evonne joined AMCP in 2021, is a graduate of UMUC, and has over 25 years of experience supporting association executives.

Bio: Mason joined AMCP in July 2022 as the second executive fellow in healthcare association leadership and managed care pharmacy. After completing his fellowship, Mason joined the AMCP team as the manager of professional affairs who serves on health disparities and digital therapeutics advisory groups. He also serves as a staff liaison for the professional practice committee at AMCP. Mason continues to strive for innovation and help underserved communities gain access to care within the United States. He is motivated to make a positive change in managed care pharmacy and give back to those in need.

Bio: Originally from Connecticut, Vicky earned a bachelor’s degree in legal studies and worked as a paralegal for 6 years. Wanting to join the healthcare field with the possibility of utilizing her legal knowledge, Vicky earned her master’s degree in health administration and worked in the Compliance Team of Anthem. She is currently working on earning her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. On her time off, you may find her at the gym, hiking at Belle Isle, or Sleeping Giant when she returns home. Some of her favorite activities include salsa dancing, cooking, traveling, seeing a play, or going to the movies, bonus if she gets to do these with her family or nieces and nephews. Bio: Steve has over 10 years of managed care experience within health plan and academic settings. He has served various roles, including managing the formulary management team at one of the largest Blues plans in the U.S. and serving as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Wilkes University’s Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, where he coordinated all managed care education within the curriculum. He's always happy to talk about music, technology, and sports, particularly football, basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee.

Michael holds technology certifications in various domains (Virtualization, Cloud computing, Networking, and Security). Her career has been marked by diverse roles, including Director of Interactive Promotion and Strategy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Director of Marketing at Seattle Foundation, she also currently serves of the Board of the DC Tech & Venture Coalistion. Before venturing into the nonprofit sector, Erica excelled in the digital realm, where she served as a VP of channel strategy, creative director, senior digital strategist, and web developer, crafting innovative marketing and brand solutions for Fortune 500 titans like Hilton Worldwide and FedEx. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Erica is a loving mother of three and a dedicated outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys quality time with her family and her Red Fox Lab, Gleyber, and has a passion for hiking, skiing and outrigger canoe racing.

Bio: Cate took over the helm of the AMCP Biologics and Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium (BBCIC) in 2018, coming from prior roles at biopharmaceutical companies and in scientific consulting. Bio: Mark J. Milligan serves as the Chief Financial Officer at AMCP and has over 30 years of experience in the non-profit industry. He is the head financial staff for AMCP and liaison for the Finance Committee and the Audit Committee. He oversees and leads all financial management; contract management; retirement management; accounting; technology; and administrative and operational functions for AMCP, AMCP Foundation, and BBCIC LLC. He possesses extensive experience and transformative leadership skills from his years working for charities, hospitals, professional membership associations, trade associations, and foundations.

A native of the Washington, DC, area, Mark grew up in Derwood, Maryland. He graduated from The Catholic University of America, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University. He is also an active member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where he earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, and the Plan Sponsor Council of America where he earned is his Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) credential. He earned the award for Top Nonprofit CFO from DC Live in 2019.

Bio: Susan is a seasoned professional with 30 years of nonprofit experience, previously working for the Federal Government, Xerox, and IBM. She served as Director of Education and Special Programs at another association for 21 years. In 2007, Susan joined the AMCP family. Bio: Let me introduce you to Patrick, a nice guy! He's an epidemiologist, health services researcher, and the Principal Research Scientist at the BBCIC. Patrick has over 15 years of experience as a Professor of Epidemiology at Virginia Tech and The University of Missouri. He brings expertise in designing and conducting observational studies, analyzing complex data, and communicating research findings effectively. Bio: Ruby joined AMCP in 2014 with experience in both managed care pharmacy and association management, with a focus on professional education for pharmacists. Her passion lies in educating pharmacists to improve patient care and address health disparities. Ruby has a BS in Pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Rutgers University. She also completed a residency at the University of Maryland in drug information. A native of Philadelphia, Ruby still roots for the Philadelphia Eagles and LOVES a good soft pretzel!

Bio: Beth Stewart is a writer with a passion for helping organizations convey their message in the most effective way possible through thoughtfully composed copy. Throughout her career, Beth has gained skills in media relations, social media, and online outreach. Her background in journalism has provided her with the writing and research skills needed to make an organization's message topical and newsworthy.

Bio: A graduate of George Washington University, Tyler joined AMCP in 2022 following internships with the Office of Congressman Jimmy Gomez and a frontline congressional campaign. Most recently, Tyler interned with the Alliance for Retired Americans’ Government Relations and Communications departments. He enjoys cheering on the Denver Broncos, spending time outdoors, and exploring the vibrant neighborhoods of Washington D.C.

Bio: Betty has over 25 years in association management, including at the American Nurses Association, in various roles. She joined AMCP in 2011 and loves how smart our members are and the passion they have for their work. A University of Virginia graduate, she loves the challenges and diversity that association work brings. When Betty is out of the office, there is a good chance she is traveling the world with friends.
