Kelsey-Seybold Clinic’s Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program is located in Houston, Tx.
We're changing the way health cares! You will not find another health system in the Greater Houston area like Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Our legacy in the community and dedication to delivering value-based, compassionate care is why we were named the nation’s first accredited Accountable Care Organization by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic provides pharmacy residents with unique experiences to provide high-quality care through innovative multi-disciplinary practice. In collaboration with the 5-Star Medicare Advantage Health Plan, KelseyCare Advantage, the program offers residents a multitude of opportunities to promote excellence in managed care through various initiatives. The resident will work directly within KelseyCare Advantage, a local Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan and engage in Health Plan Operations, Part D program compliance, and quality metrics, while providing clinical and practice-related drug information to members, providers, and professionals. The resident will become a subject matter expert in internal auditing, PBM oversight, skills needed for population-based pharmaceutical care, patient and physician education programs, quality improvement projects, and implementation of evidenced-based prescribing.
From our physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to our administrative team members, we are all working toward a common goal – to deliver the Triple Aim of healthcare: better quality, a better patient experience, at a lower total medical cost!
