Special Features:

As a Special Needs Plan (SNP) located in New York City, Amida Care is focused on improving the quality, value and experience for both members and providers to help members live their lives and make healthcare better for everyone. We offer a collaborative approach to provide value based care. This post-graduate first year residency (PGY-1) in Managed Care will equip the resident to participate as an interdisciplinary member of the managed health-care team to apply knowledge to guide population-level patient care encounters and develop independence with respect to clinical and managed care decision making. Although this program is uniquely focused on Medicaid pharmacy management which will prepare the resident to work at the state or commercial level caring for the needs of Medicaid covered populations, the skills obtained from this program will also prepare the resident to work for other managed care programs, pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturers, and clinical settings.
