Electronic prior authorization (ePA) represents a significant opportunity to enhance e-prescribing and PA workflows, which directly benefit patients by identifying the most appropriate medications. AMCP believes the health care community’s adoption of ePA will be enhanced if we are able to provide a list of resources and best practices for implementing ePA. AMCP believes that slow uptake of ePA adoption may lead to unnecessary PA mandates by state governments and avoidable time and costs associated with the current PA process.
Join us on Wednesday, May 21st at 2:00 pm EST to learn the importance of implementing ePA and necessary steps to prepare current PA criteria for integration into an ePA format. In addition, this Webinar will explore examples to help test and measure PA criteria to better equip managed care pharmacy with the necessary resources for successful development and implementation. For example, are your ePA criteria written to interface seamlessly with EMR data so physician EMRs can answer criteria without needing manual input?
During the webinar we will engage in a discussion about how AMCP can further promote resources and information to help better prepare the health care industry for successful ePA implementation.
