Public Policy Committee
Mission
To develop public policy position statements and resources regarding state and federal legislation and regulations consistent with AMCP’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Advise staff of legislative and regulatory issues that may impact managed care pharmacy.
- Review and update legislative and regulatory policy position statements for the Board’s consideration.
- Provide feedback to AMCP staff on regulatory comment letters.
Composition
The Public Policy Committee is composed of 10 to 16 AMCP Members, including a Chair and Vice Chair; two (2) appointees may be AMCP Associate Members.
Qualifications
Experience or interest in developing organizational position statements on current and anticipated legislation and regulations impacting managed care pharmacy.
Term of Appointment
Committee members are appointed for one-year terms. Committee members may be appointed for up to three consecutive one-year terms.
Time Commitment
Committee members are expected to attend all meetings, including national meetings, monthly conference calls, and ad hoc meetings as needed. In addition, members are expected to complete project work as assigned and attend Legislative Days.
