Professional Practice Committee
Mission
To assist AMCP staff in developing and implementing initiatives and resources that provide value to the members and advance the practice of managed care pharmacy consistent with AMCP’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Advise AMCP staff on certain managed care pharmacy practice materials and resources as appropriate.
- Provide recommendations on developing, updating, and retiring AMCP’s Managed Care Practice Positions.
- Serve as a source of strategic insights to AMCP staff by providing intelligence and input on clinical, administrative, pharmaceutical industry, and practice issues impacting managed care pharmacy.
Composition
The Professional Practice Committee is composed of 11 to 15 AMCP members, including a Chair and Vice Chair.
Qualifications
Committee members must be Active AMCP members working in the managed care pharmacy profession.
Term of Appointment
Committee members are appointed for one-year terms. Committee members may be appointed for up to three consecutive one-year terms.
Time Commitment
Committee members are expected to attend all meetings, including national meetings, monthly conference calls, and ad hoc meetings as needed. In addition, members are expected to complete project work as assigned.
