Jessica Daw, PharmD, MBA 

President-elect 
Jessica serves as the VP, Pharmacy at Sentara Health Plans. In this role, she leads the pharmacy program for Commercial, Exchange, Medicare, and Medicaid products, including strategic direction and financial management. 

Dr. Daw has over twenty years of managed care experience, including in quality, medication therapy management, care management, formulary and utilization management, value-based contracting, physician risk sharing arrangements, compliance, and PBM oversight. She previously held several pharmacy leadership positions at UPMC Health Plan. Dr. Daw has been an active member of AMCP since 2004, previously serving on the AMCP Board of Directors for two terms and serving as Chair for two committees. She is currently a Director on the AMCP Mid-Atlantic Affiliate Formation Board. Dr. Daw is also the Chair of the ISPOR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Council. 

Jessica earned her PharmD from Duquesne University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. 

 

Jeff Larson, RPh, MS, MBA, FAMCP 

Treasurer 
Jeff is a Clinical Director for CVS Caremark. He oversees a team of pharmacists that have direct clinical health plan account responsibility for client relationships. He has over 29 years within the PBM industry, where he has successfully supported many commercial, Medicare Part-D, Medicaid, and Exchange plans with a consultative approach. He is also the Director of the CVS Health TX-based accredited PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy residency program. 

Mr. Larson received his BS in Pharmacy at North Dakota State University, an MS in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Minnesota, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. His career began with an accredited Pharmacy Management residency at the Minneapolis VAMC before joining PCS Health Systems. He has served AMCP in various capacities, including multiple leadership positions: Chair of the Program Planning and Development Committee and the Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee and serving on the Audit and Finance Committees. He has mentored the next generation of managed care pharmacists through precepting of APPE students and precepting a residency rotation in Managed Care. He proudly serves as an AMCP Diplomat and is a Silver Level AMCP Champion. 

 

Annie (Rakoczy) Schuster, PharmD, FAMCP

At-Large Director 
Annie (Rakoczy) Schuster began a managed care pharmacy interest during her first year of pharmacy school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a committed member of AMCP for over 20 years, she has served as chair of the Educational Affairs, Professional Practice, and Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committees, an Organizational Affairs Committee member, a Diplomat, and a Conference Buddy. She was recognized as a Fellow in 2021 and continues participating in AMCP forums and education sessions to represent health plan strategies to improve patient health.

Annie leads the Cigna Healthcare Medicare clinical pharmacy team, where she provides strategic leadership and oversees formulary, medical drug strategies, and clinical pharmacy programs. She served as Cigna Medicare’s Residency Program Director for 15 years and precepts APPE and AMCP Foundation student pharmacist interns to support future leaders, like many AMCP members who supported her development. Brenden O’Hara, RPh, BCACP

At-Large Director 
Brenden leads a team that works with ACO’s and Community Pharmacies at Blue Cross NC to improve the quality and cost of care for mutual members. Brenden promotes managed care to students, interns, and residents. He co-founded managed care electives at both the UNC Eshelman and Campbell University Schools of Pharmacy and serves as the AMCP Diplomat for Campbell University. He was instrumental in establishing the local Carolinas AMCP Affiliate and currently serves as Past President. Nationally, he has been active with AMCP through service on the Professional Practice Committee and the Schools of Pharmacy Relations Committee and delivered numerous presentations at national meetings. Brenden is committed to quality and served as a subject matter expert for PQA for various national expert panel discussions and presentations. Brenden is seeking a Board of Director position to amplify his efforts showcasing the value of managed care pharmacy in optimizing the use of limited health care resources.
