President-Elect

Carly Rodriguez

Carly Rodriguez, PharmD, FAMCP
Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer
Moda Health

As Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer for Moda Health, Carly provides strategic direction for pharmacy programs including clinical management, quality, operations, innovation, analytics, vendor management, and industry relations. She is responsible for managing medication spend and utilization across medical and pharmacy benefits for Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and ACA products. Her areas of expertise include evidence-based formulary and policy development, cost-savings and utilization management initiatives, and medical pharmacy strategies.

Carly received her PharmD from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy, along with a certificate in biomedical and regulatory affairs. Her professional areas of interest include high-investment therapies, oncology, rare disease, and medical pharmacy. She has contributed to the managed care research base in these areas through numerous publications, as well as local and national presentations.

Carly has been an active member of AMCP since 2008, previously serving as President of the Northwest Affiliate, Chair of the Schools of Pharmacy Relations, and Organizational Affairs Committees, and two terms as a Director on the AMCP Board of Directors. She is currently a Diplomat for the University of Washington School of Pharmacy and is an AMCP Fellow.

In addition to her AMCP volunteerism, Carly currently serves on the Board of Directors for Albertina Kerr, an Oregon non-profit whose mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead self-determined lives in their communities.

Jeffrey Dunn

Jeffrey Dunn, PharmD, MBA

Jeff is President and Chief Executive Officer for Cooperative Benefits Group (CBG), a transparent pass-through PBM.  Prior to assuming his current role, Jeff was the Chief Clinical Officer and had pharmacy and formulary oversight responsibilities, including P&T/VAC, rebates, clinical programs, specialty, strategy, account management, industry relations, and sales. 

Jeff’s previous roles include Head of Clinical Pharmacy at Haven, the Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, JPMorgan Chase health care venture; Vice President, Clinical Strategy and Programs and Industry Relations at MagellanRx (MRx); Senior Vice President / Chief Clinical Officer / Board Member at VeridicusRx (VRx); and Formulary and Contract Manager at SelectHealth/Intermountain Healthcare.

Dr. Dunn earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and his Master of Business Administration degree from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.  Jeff has helped health plans, employer groups, and members (patients) save millions of dollars, while improving health outcomes by helping develop integrated care management programs, a pharmacist-centric MTM program, specialty strategies, and other programs.  Jeff also enjoys interacting and working with pharmacy residents and students. He helped develop and manage the residency programs at SelectHealth, VRx, and MRx.  Jeff and his wife, Sarah Jane, have endowed scholarships at the University of Utah Colleges of Pharmacy and Social Work, and the David Eccles School of Business. 
 

Joseph Honcz

Joe Honcz is a prominent healthcare leader with over twenty years of expertise in medical and pharmacy benefits, product development, formulary design, and clinical strategies. His distinguished career includes leadership roles at industry frontrunners like Pfizer, Anthem, Aetna/CVS, and Humana.

Currently serving as the President of C4i, Joe fosters innovation and pioneering market access strategies. This consultancy, specializing in market access and managed care, greatly benefits from his extensive experience and insights gained from collaborations with the biopharma, digital health, and payer sectors. Joe is skilled in providing in-depth analyses and crafting tailored strategies that align with market demands. His talent for highlighting and enhancing his clients' unique innovations in the access and reimbursement landscape is truly remarkable. Often referred to as a "pharmacy futurist," Joe consistently champions the integration of the latest healthcare innovations.

Passionate about mentoring the next wave of healthcare leaders, Joe serves as an Executive in Residence (EIR) for Yale Ventures and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saint Joseph School of Pharmacy. These roles reflect his dedication to nurturing and guiding upcoming professionals in the field.

A proud alumnus of the University of Connecticut, Joe holds a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and a Master's in Business Administration. Additionally, he serves as a diplomat to the university's student chapter.
 

Matt Mitchell

Matt Mitchell, PharmD, MBA, FAMCP

Matthew P. Mitchell, PharmD, MBA, MHP, FAMCP, is AVP of Pharmacy Services for Select Health in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Mitchell has over 20 years’ experience in pharmacy, including retail, hospital, and managed care. At Select Health, Dr. Mitchell oversees clinical programs, savings initiatives, pharmaceutical rebates and the specialty and infusible drug network contracting in the management of well over $1 Billion in pharmacy and medical injectable/infusible drug claims annually. He chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee, as well as several other high-level management strategy and operational committees. His areas of expertise include specialty drug management, pharmacy benefit management, health-system pharmacy integration, outcomes research, and operational effectiveness. He is actively involved in several professional societies and was recognized as a Fellow of AMCP in 2014. He is currently a Director on AMCP’s Board of Directors.
