The AMCP Student Chapter at Mercer University is pleased to be recognized in the Chapter Spotlight this month. For over a decade, Mercer’s AMCP chapter has held its Annual Student Symposium on campus during the fall semester. Chapter members collaborate to plan this small regional conference that includes a keynote speaker, panelists, a luncheon, multiple roundtable sessions, and a set for photos.

The Executive Board and Symposium Committee invite local managed care and pharmaceutical industry professionals to serve as guest speakers to mentor pharmacy students from all over the southeast region. The Annual Symposium is a multi-purpose gathering event. It is an opportunity for students to learn about careers for managed care pharmacists, an event for alumni and professionals to reconnect, and for educators at the college to present post-graduate opportunities to students. Moreover, the Annual Student Symposium has helped Mercer attract students to join AMCP.
