Disease State & Treatment Modalities Overview for Chronic Graft vs Host Disease (cGvHD)
This session will provide disease state awareness to elucidate the reasons for the high unmet medical need in this rare condition, affecting both, adults and pediatric patients, as a result of a prior cancer treatment.
Discussion will involve definition and etiology of cGvHD, type of stem cell transplantation leading to it, natural history, risk and clinical features, as well as manifestations in adults and children. The modalities for diagnosis and assessment will also be discussed, with the last part focusing on the treatment goals and responses.
