Who We Are
Elevance Health is a health company dedicated to improving lives and communities – and making healthcare simpler. Previously known as Anthem, Inc., we have evolved into a company focused on whole health and updated our name to better reflect the direction the company is heading.
Elevance Health has been named as a Fortune Great Place To Work 2023-2024, is ranked as one of the 2022 World’s Most Admired Companies among healthcare companies by Fortune magazine, and a Top 20 Fortune 500 Companies on Diversity and Inclusion.
Our Program
The Elevance Health Managed Care Pharmacy Resident Program is designed to help pharmacy graduates transition from the academic setting to a unique experience serving people across their entire health journey and addressing their full range of needs with an integrated whole-health approach. Residents will gain the knowledge, versatility and professional skills to excel in many aspects of managed care pharmacy within commercial and government lines of business.
Our mission is to prepare residents for a career in managed care pharmacy by providing practical and comprehensive exposure in all components of managed care pharmacy practice.
As a resident designated to CarelonRx, Elevance Health’s PBM, you will be exposed to opportunities that will strengthen clinical, professional, business and personal skills. Residents will virtually interact with health care providers who assist our health plan members and coordinate member care with nurses, social workers, pharmacists and medical directors in our health plans.
Resident Learning Experiences
Despite transitioning to a non-accredited program in 2022, the goals and the learning experiences for the program are still based on the guidelines established by the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.
