Educational/Special Requirements
- Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited PharmD. program.
- Must obtain a Michigan pharmacist license within 90 days of starting residency program.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Special Features
This program will give the resident valuable experience in all pharmacy areas of one of the largest Medicare Part D plans in the country, including:
- Star Quality Ratings
- Formulary P and T Committee
- Part D and B Coverage Determinations
- Medication Therapy Management
- Opioid Overutilization
- Value Capture Leadership
- Appeals and Grievances
- Fraud, Waste and Abuse Care Management
The resident will also work on a longitudinal research project, and will acquire a teaching certificate through the Wayne State University pharmacy school.
