- December 2022 — Mercer University
Mercer University hosted its Annual Student Symposium for its pharmacy students. The Annual Symposium is a multi-purpose gathering event. It is an opportunity for students to learn about careers for managed care pharmacists, an event for alumni and professionals to reconnect, and for educators at the college to present post-graduate opportunities to students. - September 2022 — Rutgers University
The Rutgers University AMCP Chapter was selected for three prestigious awards for the 2021-2022 academic year: AMCP Student Chapter of the Year, Medium-Sized Chapter Growth of the Year, and second place in the National P&T Competition. - June 2022 — University of Illinois at Chicago
Students from UIC had the opportunity to attend AMCP 2022 in Chicago to watch their team compete as Semi-Finalists in the National P&T Competition. - February 2022 — University of Houston
The AMCP chapter and IPhO chapter from the University of Houston teamed up to host a Roundtable event for their pharmacist students. AMCP Diplomat, Angelica Asadi, was a keynote speaker for this event. - December 2021 — University of California San Francisco
USCF held a virtual Roundtable event that connected over 50 pharmacist students with managed care professionals. Students received information and career advice about the many opportunities in managed care pharmacy.
Alumni Spotlights
- July 2023 - Alice Cheng, PharmD
Associate Clinical Account Executive, Alice Cheng, began her journey with Express Scripts last year after completing the PGY-1 Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program at Elevance Health. Alice is a former member of AMCP’s Student Pharmacist Committee and 2020 Best Poster by a Student Pharmacist recipient. - August 2023 - Leanna Baker, PharmD
Health Outcomes and Market Access Fellow, Leanna Baker, began working with Xcenda following her graduation last Spring. Leanna is a former member of AMCP's Student Pharmacist Committee. - February 2024 - Jocelyn McDougal
PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy resident, Jocelyn McDougal, is continuing her post-graduate training with Kaiser Permanente Georgia for another year. Jocelyn is a 2022 graduate of Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia.
