Marissa Schlaifer currently serves as Vice-President, Policy & Regulatory Affairs at OptumRx. Prior to her current position she worked as an independent consultant focused on health care policy analysis, issue advocacy, practice advancement and business development. As a former director of pharmacy and regulatory affairs at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP), Marissa worked on the development of pharmacy benefits under Medicare Part D, Medicaid and the Healthcare Exchanges, and regulations and practice improvements impacting pharmacy benefits. Marissa also served as the head of policy in the government affairs department for a major PBM and pharmacy innovation company. Her thirty-year career includes experience within managed care organizations and retail pharmacy.

A member of AMCP since 1992 and a staff member for ten years, Marissa currently represents AMCP on the National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) Coordinating Committee and task forces. She also serves on the Mathematica Medicaid Child and Adult Core Set 2020 Annual Review Workgroup.
