Membership Committee
Mission
To review, evaluate, and support recruitment and retention strategies consistent with the mission of AMCP to maintain a viable and growing membership.
Responsibilities
- Place new member welcome calls (on average, five to seven phone calls monthly per committee member).
- Act as a sounding board for AMCP staff on new targets, materials, and strategies for membership promotion, engagement, and retention.
- Guide the AMCP Conference Buddy Program and support the AMCP Champion Program.
- Serve as hosts at the new member and first-timer event and the AMCP Concierge Membership Booth during national meetings.
Composition
The Membership Committee is composed of 11 to 16 AMCP members, including a Chair and Vice Chair.
Qualifications
AMCP members from any AMCP member category are eligible to serve as voting members of the Membership Committee. Experience and/or interest in membership marketing, promotion, recruitment, and retention activities.
Term of Appointment
Committee members are appointed for one-year terms. Committee members may be appointed for up to three consecutive one-year terms.
Time Commitment
Committee members are expected to attend all meetings, including national meetings, monthly conference calls, and ad hoc meetings as needed. In addition, members are expected to complete project work as assigned.
