AMCP and the AMCP Foundation are pleased to announce winners of this year’s awards that recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the organizations and managed care pharmacy. The awards are presented annually in the spring.
Christina Barrington, PharmD, vice president and chief pharmacy officer at Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.3 million members, has been sworn in as president of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) for 2024-2025.
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) today launched the AMCP Research Institute (ARI), a research-based resource that will conduct and facilitate projects important to the mission of managed care pharmacy. Incorporating AMCP’s existing Biologics & Biosimilars Collective Intelligence Consortium (BBCIC), the ARI will expand the scope of research opportunities for AMCP, thereby helping to advance the larger goal of improving public health in the United States.
AMCP Foundation partners with Moda Health and Novo Nordisk Inc., launching a Health Disparities Research Internship and selects Daria Sinclair of Howard University to be the first Health Disparities Research Intern.
AMCP has chosen Iulia Opran, a PharmD/MS candidate, as its 2024–2025 Executive Fellow in Health Care Association Leadership. Her diverse pharmacy background and passion for managed care make her a valuable addition to the program, which begins on July 1, 2024.
