New Practitioner Award

DESCRIPTION: 

The AMCP New Practitioner Award was established in 2015 to recognize an AMCP member making a significant contribution to managed care pharmacy within five years of graduation from first professional degree in pharmacy, medicine or nursing. 

CRITERIA:  

An AMCP member who has made a contribution to managed care pharmacy within five years of graduation from a first professional degree program in pharmacy, medicine or nursing. 

NOMINATION PROCESS: 

Nominations are accepted from any AMCP member and include up to a 500 word statement describing the contribution deemed worthy of recognition. 

SELECTION PROCESS: 

The recipient is selected by a selection committee composed of members of the AMCP Organizational Affairs Committee for first four years.  Starting in the fifth year, past recipients of the award will serve as the selection committee for this award. 

NATURE OF AWARD: 

The AMCP New Practitioner Award is presented annually at the AMCP Annual Meeting. The recipient receives a plaque, a complimentary registration and travel reimbursement (up to $1,000) to the AMCP Annual Meeting where the award is presented.
