The Academy continued its rapid pace of sending comment letters to health care regulators and other stakeholders on a variety of managed care pharmacy issues. Recent correspondences addressed electronic prescribing in Medicare Part D; the effect of drug formulary changes on grandfathered health plans under the health care reform law; draft criteria and standards for community pharmacy accreditation programs; and a national inventory of comparative effectiveness research.
