“Knock Your Socks Off at AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting”

AMCP Foundation Sock Collection

What? AMCP, AMCP Foundation and Metro Volunteers are coming together to support local non-profits and other community organizations in the Denver area.

How? A sock collection.

Where? At AMCP Annual Meeting in Denver, stop by the AMCP Foundation Kiosk (near AMCP Concierge) and donate a pair of new socks. All attendees that participate will receive a token of appreciation for the donation.

When? Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Thursday 8:00am – 10:00am, during AMCP Annual Meeting.

Why socks? They provide a layer of warmth during the winter and help fight off infections in advance of the winter months.

What types of socks are needed? All socks are welcome in adult and youth sizes. All socks must be brand-new.

Did you know socks can be more important than food? Socks are the least donated, but is the most needed item among the less fortunate.

Recipients? The AMCP Foundation Sock Collection will benefit:

Denver Rescue Mission: Denver Rescue Mission changes lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.

Clothes to Kids: Clothes To Kids of Denver provides free school clothing to preschool-12th grade students from low-income or in-crisis families in a warm, welcoming store-like setting. Our hope is that when students have the clothing they need to feel comfortable and confident in the classroom, they will better be able to focus on their studies and fit in with their peers. Without Clothes To Kids, thousands of Denver students would go without school clothing and basics each year.

The Action Center: The new Program Services Building will be home to a large self-select food pantry, where clients will choose their own nutritious foods to feed their families. We will also have a more efficient clothing bank and households areas.

A Precious Child: A Precious Child provides children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential.

Family Tree: For over four decades, Family Tree has provided innovative, life-changing services designed to end child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. As the only organization in the metro Denver area working to address the interconnectedness among these issues, Family Tree is changing how individuals, families and communities see, respond to and overcome them. In the past year, Family Tree provided services to tens of thousands of people in efforts to empower individuals to discover their own strengths to create lasting, positive change.
