The Academy provides many resources to assist members in staying at the forefront of the managed care pharmacy profession. These resources include professional practice advisories, AMCP position statements, issue briefs, reports, whitepapers, a Daily Dose email briefing of relevant managed care pharmacy news stories, peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy, and a monthly Legislative/Regulatory Briefing. In addition, AMCP provides members with exclusive access to databases and tracking services that provide analysis and documentation on health care reform implementation and federal and state legislative initiatives.
AMCP Addiction Treatment Advisory Group (ATAG)
The purpose of the AMCP Addiction Treatment Advisory Group (ATAG) was multifaceted and included a focus on gaining insight for managed care organizations to use to improve access to medications for treatment of substance use disorders. ATAG collaborated over 18 months to create these tools, education and suggested resources to help foster a greater understanding of this issues.

Pharmacists' Patient Care Process
The document released on May 29, 2014, is based on JCPP's vision that "Patients will achieve optimal health and medication outcomes when pharmacists are included as essential and accountable members of patient-centered health care teams." The document provides a five-step approach to the delivery of pharmacists' patient care services in any practice setting. Besides collaboration, communication and documentation, another key component includes interoperable information technology systems to facilitate efficient, effective communication among individuals involved in patient care.
