Clinical skills are maintained through a clinical practice site learning experience at a local HCA hospital.

The resident will incorporate evidence-based practices into all projects assigned.

The HCA corporate managed care pharmacy residents are an important part of the onsite resident team consisting of six other onsite residents. Each resident performs the vital role as preceptor for students rotating through the corporate office practice site. The residency program is strengthened through affiliation with the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy, where residents have the option to pursue a teaching and learning program (TLP) certificate. HCA has strong ties to the three local schools of pharmacy and involvement with several others nationwide.
