Medicare Fraud


 

The Academy has taken a leading role in the effort to combat fraud, waste and abuse in the Medicare system. AMCP has proposed legislation, the “Medicare Prescription Drug Anti-Fraud Act of 2011.” And AMCP has engaged in a collaboration with the CMS Outreach and Education MEDIC (Medicare Integrity Contractor) to combat fraud, waste and abuse in Medicare Parts C and D.  In 2012, CMS O&E MEDIC launched a website to raise awareness and provide free resources.
